Finished Opening: for sizes smaller than listed size reduce the track length
The finished opening width is the dimension between the finished walls (after drywall or door jambs has been applied. The sizes listed are for the maximum finished opening that will work for these kits. If you opening is smaller you may cut the length of the track
To determine the individual door width needed to fill an existing opening: take your finished opening width divided by the number of doors the kit supports (either 2 or 4) and subtract 1/4". Example a 48" wide finish opening will have 4 doors with each door measuring 11-3/4".
To determine finish opening width for an existing bifold: measure the door width and add 1/4", multiplied that number by the number of doors
Finish Opening Height:
To determine door height needed: Subtract 2-7/8" from finished opening height (measure underneath the drywall or jamb to the finished floor (top of tile, wood floor, carpet etc.) Example: if your opening measures 81" high then your door height on your bifold needs to measure 78-1/8.
To determine finished opening height for existing doors: Add 2-7/8" to the door height. For example, if door/bifold height measures 80" tall, then your finished opening height needs to be 82-7/8".
